DFB Pokal: Watch Saarbrücken vs Dortmund live on December 3, 2013

The DFB Pokal returns with a clash between one forgotten giant of the Bundesliga and one of the current powers of football.

Dortmund are poised to qualify for the next stage of the DFB Pokal on December 3, 2013.Preview: Dortmund aiming to overcome further injuries

Jürgen Klopp rightly bemoaned his side’s luck this week, though in a rather sarcastic manner. The comment was perhaps slightly insensitive towards Saarbrücken but served as a reminder of Dortmund’s problems after the Mainz game:

"We are so nice that we injure ourselves down to Saarbrücken's level."

For the first time in his time as a Dortmund manager, Klopp made three substitutions prior to half-time in the Bundesliga. Nuri Sahin came in for Sven Bender when Dortmund was struggling to live up to Mainz’s pressing during the weekend. Jakub Blaszczykowski went off due to muscular problems at half-time and on captain Sebastian Kehl. Marco Reus, who is currently struggling to be fit for the Saarbrücken match, went off for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Jamaica want to upset the USMNT in the United States in a CONCACAF World Cup qualifying match on Friday, October 11, 2013.Preview: Slim hopes for the Reggae Boyz, progress for USA

The United States have reached the promise land already. That said, Friday’s home match against the Jamaicans appears as a great opportunity for the squad to test its strength. In the absence of key players like veteran striker Clint Dempsey, coach Jurgen Klinsmann is expected to try out different things.

“We want to finish qualifying on a high note and prove a point in our region. We don’t view these games [against Jamaica and Panama] as the end of World Cup qualifying,” said the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup winning manager

Tags: Live Stream, TV Schedules, Live Scores, USA, USMNT, Mexico, World Cup Qualifiers
Both countries dropped points in their last match, but both USA and Mexico could benefit from a victory on Tuesday.

USA would qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup with victory over Mexico on Tuesday, September 10, 2013.Preview: Colombus Crew Stadium welcomes an imporant match for both countries

When the USMNT boarded their plane en route to Costa Rica, they knew that a hostile environment would awaite them. Along with that anti-American atmosphere, Jürgen Klinsmann's side also had potential suspensions hanging over them.

In front of 35,000 fans at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa, Los Ticos rose to the ocassion and defeated the USMNT, leaving them in a delicate situation heading into their next match.

Now as the USA prepares for their match in Colombus, they will have to do so without Geoff Cameron, Matt Besler and Jozy Altidore, who all saw a yellow card  in Friday's match. Altidore's yellow card will have frustrated fans, as well as Klinsmann, with it stemming from a needless bump on a Costa Rican defender late in the match.

Mexico vs Cote d'Ivoire live: Watch online, on TV in USA – August 14, 2013

Wednesday August 14 2013,
Tags: Live Stream, TV Schedules, Ivory Coast, Mexico, ESPN, Univision
In a late kick-off on Wednesday, Mexico clash against Cote d’Ivoire. Watch this friendly match; check out LiveSoccerTV’s live streaming and TV info compilation.

Didier Drogba is poised to grab the spotlight in the Mexico vs Cote d'Ivoire friendly.Preview: No Chicharito and Yaya Toure

After conceding their Gold Cup title to USA this summer, the Mexicans have no choice but to pick themselves up and find consistency. The 2014 FIFA World Cup is not guaranteed. In a few weeks’ time, El Tri will face the fury of Honduras in a CONCACAF World Cup qualifier.

Confidence is lacking in Mexico’s camp. This explains why beating Cote d’Ivoire is a must. The last time De la Torre’s team faced an African nation was back in May – ahead of the Confederations Cup. The game ended 2-2 and was marked by a poor display. Javier Hernandez scored both goals.

On Wednesday night, the Manchester United forward will not play. He needs to recover from a sore right hamstring.

The biggest omission from this friendly match for the Ivoirians has to be Yaya Toure. The 2012 African Football of the Year is injured. However, in-form striker Didier Drogba has been called back to the national team. After dazzling on his return to Arsenal’s ground in the Emirates Cup, the ex-Chelsea man is expected to put in a good show for his country tonight.

Mexico vs Cote d’Ivoire will take place at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Italy vs Argentina live streaming, on TV: watch big friendly match on August 14

With over 10 years gone since both these countries met, Italy will host Argentina at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Preview: Old rivalry will take center stage, with two key figures missing out

Italy and Argentina used to be a big rivalry, but considering they have not locked horns in over a decade, that flame may have burned out. Their last meeting came in a friendly in 1991 when the Albiceleste defeated Italy 2-1. Having been eliminated by Argentina a year earlier at the 1990 World Cup, the Azzurri can now try to seek revenge.

Much to the disappointment of the spectators, Lionel Messi and Mario Balotelli will likely miss this match. Missing these two in a match like this was like missing Maradona, but regardless of their absence, this match should be one of the more interesting matches to be played on Wednesday.

Panama vs Mexico: Watch this match live on Fox Soccer or online as El Tri seeks revenge

Panama came out on top when both sides met earlier in the competition. LiveSoccerTV shows you where to watch this match live with Mexico looking slightly more confident heading into it.

Preview: Panama looking for another historic victory

When both these sides took the field in their opening match of the group stage, Mexico undoubtedly had a hand full of question marks surrounding their manager. After losing that match 2-1, angry Mexican fans expressed their concern surrounding Manuel de la Torre's job security.

Fortunately for de la Torre, El Tri has managed to bounce back, outscoring their opponents 6-1. When you put that stat along side Panama's unbeaten run, having outscored their opponents 9-2, this should be a match with a few goals to offer.

USA vs Honduras: Watch live online or on TV as Gold Cup final is at stake

The USMNT will meet Honduras for the third time this year, with both sides having split their last two meetings. On Wednesday night, watch live as one of these two teams will make it to the Gold Cup 2013 final.

Preview: USMNT clear favourites over Los Catrachos

Heading into the CONCACAF Gold Cup, Jurgen Klinsmann's side had won three of their previous three World Cup Qualification matches, giving his players a significant boost of confidence. With that streak, the German manager opted to bring in what some would consider a 'B' team for the Gold Cup.

B team or not, the USMNT has enjoyed a total of 16 goals, while only conceding three in the competition. Obviously Belize and Cuba did not offer them the greatest of challenges, but Honduras will certainly not lay down for the Americans.

USA Vs. Costa Rica: Both Sides Battle For The Top Spot In Group C

Both teams come into tonight's match with two victories, but one of them will have to surrender their perfect record.

Preview: Costa Rica Will Be Seeking Revenge After These Two Nations Last Met

It would be completely innapropriate to say that neither team has anything to play for, although both sides are into the next round of the competition.

With that said, dropping into second place could mean a tough test against Honduras in the quarter-finals for either side, but for Costa Rica, they will also want to get back at the Americans for what happened the last time they met.

In March, both sides met in a World Cup Qualification match in Colorado in near white out conditions. After having their petition turned down to postpone the match, Costa Rica was forced to play, and came out with a 1-0 defeat.

Los Ticos were clearly unhappy that they had to play the match in those conditions, and having lost, they will really want to come out on top Tuesday night in Connecticut.

For the USA to slip into second, they would need to lose by three or more goals, something that is possible, but highly unlikely, given that the USMNT is on a seven match winning streak.

With Chris Wondolowski in form, and a big crowd expected at Rentschler Stadium in Hartford, this should be a very entertaining final group match. Both sides have a 12-12-6 record against eachother, and they ironically are first and second in the Hexagonal stage as well.

USA Vs. Cuba: Watch The USMNT Second Group Match On Fox

Jurgen Klinsmann side faced a much weaker squad in their first match in Portland. On Saturday, they will be up against the Caribbean Champions, but should still come out on top.

Preview: The USMNT Will Look To Keep Their Goal Scoring Run Going In Utah

After going up against Belize, the USA could face a slightly more difficult test against Cuba, but the Americans are still expected to come out on top in this match. Jurgen Klinsmann's side came out of their first match in the group with a comfertable victory, but this Cuban side should be slightly more difficult to break down.

Haiti vs Honduras: Live on Univision, Fox Soccer. Full TV info – Gold Cup 2013

What will the 16th encounter between Haiti and Honduras produce? Watch the full game live on July 8 and find out how this Gold Cup 2013 match pans out.

Haiti will take on Honduras to open their Gold Cup 2013 campaign.Preview: Los Catrachos to suffer an upset?

The Haitians - who only lost 2-1 to Spain in a friendly game earlier this summer - might be boosted by the heroics of Martinique and Panama against Canada and Mexico respectively last Sunday. Likewise, Honduras might have learned a lot from yesterday’s upsets and they are expected to be prepared enough so as to avoid the Gold Cup 2013’s third giant-killing on the trot.

Los Catrachos clearly have the upper hand over their upcoming opponents. Both sides have met 15 times already with Les Grenadiers winning only four times and conceding 32 goals. They last clashed against each other almost exactly four years ago with Honduras claiming a 1-0 victory.

The public on Monday may be treated to a tight game and Haiti’s coach, Israel Blake Cantero, is not ruling out the possibility of creating a shock at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey.

“Our goal is to qualify for the next phase,” Cantero revealed during a pre-match interview with the press.

“We know that Honduras has a great advantage over us but we are prepared us for this match. Of course, it will be difficult.

“We are hoping to make a good tournament as we focus on discipline and tactical operation. We have to play with character and seriousness.”

Mexico vs Panama: Watch El Tri’s live Gold Cup 2013 opener on July 7

Some of the biggest networks in the world – Sportsnet World, ESPN, Univision and Fox Soccer – are preparing for the live broadcast of Mexico vs Panama on Sunday, July 7, 2013.

Marco Fabian is under the spotlight ahead of Mexico vs Panama - Gold Cup 2013 Matchday 1Preview: M. Fabian's El Tri eyeing a positive start

This Gold Cup fixture will open El Tri’s defence of their CONCACAF title. The good news for the Mexicans’ backline is that it will not need to contain Blas Perez at the Rose Bowl. The Panama striker has opted to miss this encounter for tonight’s big MLS clash between FC Dallas and LA Galaxy due to take place at the StubHub Center at 22:30 ET. Meanwhile, Mexico vs Panama kicks off at 20:00 ET.

Adding to Panama’s key absences are Godoy Cruz midfielder Armando Cooper and 32-year-old defender Felipe Baloy of Santos Laguna. El Tri’s manager, Jose Manuel de la Torre, is thus expected to live up to the challenge and snatch maximum points from his side’s Gold Cup opener.

Pressure is something the coach must deal with as pundits believe that this tournament presents a final chance to redeem his career. One of the home-grown stars who could lend a helping hand to De La Torre is attacker Marco Fabian. The London 2012 Olympics gold medallist told the press ahead of the Gold Cup:

“We understand clearly the great opportunity we have in front of us. We have to demonstrate our abilities. We have to demonstrate them to ourselves, the coaching staff and the rest of the country. It's an honor to be here.”

With the exclusion of European-based regulars, Mexico’s young squad cannot complain of lack of space to shine. The 2013 Gold Cup is an immense chance for the players involved to prove that they belong to the future of the national team.

The battle against Panama this Sunday is one they are keen on winning.

Uruguay vs Italy: Live on ESPN, Univision, more – Confederations Cup 2013

All is set for the Confederations Cup 2013 Third-place Final to take place on Sunday, June 30. Uruguay vs Italy will be broadcast on ESPN, Univision and many other online and TV channels.

Pirlo's Italy and Suarez's Uruguay contend for bronze medals at the Confederations Cup 2013 Third-place Final on Sunday, June 30.Preview: Pirlo’s Azzurri and Suarez’s Celeste seeking fitting end

Both players – veteran Italian midfielder Andrea Pirlo and Liverpool star forward Luis Suarez – are nominees for the Confederations Cup 2013 Golden Ball award. Suarez showcased his scoring aptitude against Spain and Tahiti in the group stages of the competition.

The Uruguayan striker really does not need too many shots to create a goal. There is even more to his game as he can engineer the attack behind Diego Forlan and Edison Cavani as per the plans of coach Oscar Tabarez.

La Celeste Olimpica narrowly lost to Brazil in the semi-finals and so did Italy to world champions Spain; a missed penalty from Bonucci settled a heart-breaking 7-6 shoot-out score line in favour of the Spaniards. However, the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup Third-Place final has a great deal of consolation at stake. It will be curious to find out whether Cesare Prandelli's team can find the net in normal time and actually claim victory in the absence of Mario Balotelli.

Four years ago, it was La Furia Roja and Bafana Bafana of South Africa contending for this spot. The former clinched bronze and, buoyed by this achievement, grew in confidence to claim the FIFA World Cup the following year.

This time, it is perhaps too early for either Italy or Uruguay to dream about glory at Brazil 2014. However, one thing is certain: the performances that both sides have displayed since the beginning of this tournament have made them look as genuine contenders for next year’s big football event.

And if the Uruguayans are not doing as well as the Italians in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, bronze medals on Sunday afternoon could brighten their spirits for the CONMEBOL road-to-Brazil challenge ahead.

Spain vs Italy: live on ESPN, Univision, full TV info – Confederations Cup 2013

Spain have never played in a Confederations Cup final but they could break this hoodoo on June 27, 2013. Watch Spain vs Italy live online or on TV and witness what history has in store.

Spain and Italy clash on June 27 in a semi-final match at the Confederations Cup 2013.Preview – Daunting task for the Azzurri without Balotelli

When the referee’s whistle will go up to kick off proceedings at the Estádio Castelão in Fortaleza, soccer fans will be 90 or 120 minutes away from knowing if that dream Confederations Cup 2013 final will indeed take place. Many want to see hosts Brazil clash against world champions Spain in Rio on Sunday. However, the Azzuri of Italy have other ideas. They are plotting for an upset to happen on Thursday.

Cesare Prandelli’s mission is as tough as it seems. The Italian manager has lost his star player, Mario Balotelli. In the Milan striker’s absence, pundits have been wondering where the Euro 2012 runners-up will get their goals from.

Revenge is on the mind of the Italians after that humiliating 4-0 loss to current European Champions Spain last summer. At the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup, Italy have proven to be passionate in every area of the pitch but their defence needs serious corrections. They have allowed eight goals in their net already. How does this compare to the Spaniards who only conceded on Matchday 1 as a certain Luis Suarez beat Iker Casillas from a free-kick?

La Furia Roja will be looking to impose its possession style of play but the Azzurri will want to overcome the misery of opening holes at the back and suffer a hammering. On Wednesday, the South American affair between Brazil and Uruguay produced a very tight outcome. What kind of show will football viewers be treated to on June 27?

Where to watch the match live – Start time, live stream, TV channels

ESPN and Sportsnet are not the only sports networks via which Spain vs Italy will air live in North America. Univision has added itself to the coverage of this intriguing Last 4 encounter. Below are full TV info details for viewers in Canada, UK and USA.
