Tottenham Hotspur face Real Madrid on Wednesday with the Spanish club defending a 4-0 aggregate lead.
Madrid built a four goal lead in the First leg when former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor scored twice, before Cristiano Ronaldo and Angel di Maria added goals for the final 4-0 score line.

Tottenham striker Peter Crouch was red carded in the first leg, and as a result will be suspended for this tie. Roman Pavyuchenko will lead the Spurs attack as they look to avoid Madrid advancing to an ‘El Clasico’ Semi-Final against bitter rivals Barcelona.

In the night’s other Quarter-Final, Schalke will be protecting a 5-2 aggregate lead when they play host to defending Champions Inter Milan. The winner of the tie will advance to face Manchester United in the Semi-Finals.

Barcelona will travel to face Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final second leg on Tuesday.

Shakhtar have an impressive record at home, since moving into their Donbass Arena home in September 2009 they have lost only one game in all competitions. Donetsk are also unbeaten in 12 European home games, and have won every Champions League home game this season. However, the fact that Barca hold a 5-1 lead from the first leg in the Nou Camp means Shakhtar have to produce one of the most remarkable performances in European football history to advance to the Semi-Finals.

Darijo Srna, Olexandr Kucher and Dmytro Chygrynskiy are all sidelined with injury for Shakhtar, while Razvan Rat is suspended.

Andres Iniesta is suspended for Barcelona, while Carles Puyol, Eric Abidal and Bojan Krkic are ruled out with injury.

With a four goal advantage from the first leg, fringe players such as Gabriel Milito, Victor Vazquez and Ibrahim Afellay could be handed a start for Barca.

KEY PLAYERS

Luiz Adriano (Shakhtar Donetsk) – If Shakhtar are to have any hope, Brazilian forward Adriano must help them find an early goal and get the crowd into the game.

Gerard Pique (Barcelona) – With Abidal and Puyol ruled out, Pique must marshal the Barca backline and avoid Shakhtar getting up a head of steam.

Manchester United will be defending a 1-0 aggregate lead when they play host to Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final second leg on Tuesday.

Manchester United registered a 1-0 win in the first leg at Stamford Bridge when Wayne Rooney scored an away goal for the Red Devils. Chelsea will be aggrieved at the late penalty appeal they had turned down and are likely to adopt an attacking approach knowing they must win at Old Trafford to advance.

Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand will return for United after missing the weekend Premier League win over Fulham. Darren Fletcher is sidelined with injury for United, while Brazilian defender Rafael and John O’Shea are doubtful and will be assessed ahead of kickoff.

Yossi Benayoun and Alex could feature for Chelsea after returning from injury in the weekend Premier League win over Wigan Athletic.

KEY PLAYERS

Edwin van der Sar (Manchester United) – The Dutch goalkeeper was outstanding in the first leg and will be an important figure again as Chelsea adopt an attacking approach in the second leg.

Fernando Torres (Chelsea) – If the £50million forward is to ever open his Chelsea account, now is as good a time as any.

FC Schalke 04 will be defending a 5-2 aggregate lead when they play host to defending Champions Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final second leg.

Dejan Stankovic and Diego Milito scored for Inter in the San Siro first leg, but Inter surged back to register a shocking 5-2 win with strikes from Goncalves Edu (twice), Joel Matip, Raul and an own goal.

Strikers Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Jefferson Farfan are ruled out for Schalke due to injury and suspension respectively. Spanish great Raul will lead the Schalke attack and will be looking to add to his impressive career tally of 70 UEFA Champions League goals.

Walter Samuel could make his return from injury for Inter, while fellow defender Lucio will return from suspension. Christian Chivu is suspended for Milan, while star playmaker Wesley Sneijder could recover from flu in time to play.

KEY PLAYERS

Manuel Neuer (FC Schalke 04) – Inter Milan will come out in full attacking mode trying to claw back the aggregate deficit. Neuer must se his experience and shot stopping skills to ensure a smooth path to the Semi-Finals for Schalke.

Samuel Eto’o (Inter Milan) – Having scored eight goals in nine Champions League games so far this season, Eto’o is Inter’s biggest hopes to overturn the 5-2 deficit and advance to the final four.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to overturn a 4-0 aggregate deficit when they play host to European giants Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final second leg.

Real won the first leg 4-0 behind goals from former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor, Angel di Maria and Cristiano Ronaldo. Tottenham striker Peter Crouch was sent off in the first half of the Bernabeu rout and will be suspended for this game.

Aaron Lennon could return for Spurs, the England winger controversially withdrew with illness just minutes before the kickoff in Madrid after being named in the original starting lineup.

Tom Huddlestone and Younes Kaboul look set to play for Spurs, while Steven Pienaar, Vedran Corluka and Niko Kranjcar are all injury doubts for Tottenham.

Defender Pepe is suspended for Real, while Lassana Diarra, Pedro Leon and Fernando Gaga are all sidelined with injury.

KEY PLAYERS

Roman Pavlyuchenko (Tottenham Hotspur) – With Crouch suspended, Pavlyuchenko is Tottenham’s next highest scoring striker in Europe, and Tottenham need at least one early goal to make this competitive.

Ricardo Carvalho (Real Madrid) – Former Chelsea centre back Carvalho is no stranger to London, and he will be looking to lead the Madrid defensive effort at White Hart Lane. If Carvalho can keep the backline strong in the absence of Pepe, it will ensure Madrid a smooth path to the final four.
