One would bolster their attack; the other could replace Pogba.

Man United are reportedly eyeing January signings in their bid to continue strengthening their squad. According to Goal, the Red Devils are looking at a Premier League duo from fellow top-six hopefuls Wolves.

They are none other than Raul Jimenez and Ruben Neves. The 20-time Premier League champions' reasons for wanting these two players are understandable as it would bolster two key positions for Solskjaer's squad.

One is in the attack. As earlier reported, the Old Trafford side are keen on the Mexican forward but will face a battle with Man City for his signature. Marcus Rashford has scored 12 times in the Premier League this season, four more than the Jimenez has this term (8). However, after selling Lukaku over the summer and failing to replace him, the club have lacked a natural striker.

The Mexican forward is familiar with the league and could be a viable option after missing out on the likes of Mandzukic and Haaland. Wolves and Man United recently locked horns in the FA Cup, playing out a goalless draw, with both Nuno and Ole failing to rule out this deal.

Despite this, negotiations are believed to be in an early stage. Furthermore, the report by Goal fails to mention a price but it is hard to see Jimenez's employers selling him in the middle of the season for a bargain cheap.

Ruben Neves, on the other hand, could be the ideal replacement for Paul Pogba, who appears to be destined for an Old Trafford exit. The Portuguese midfielder has been nothing short of brilliant since arriving at the Molineux Stadium back in 2017, even being linked with a move to the Citizens at one point.

While the former Porto midfielder isn't the number 10 Man United are crying out for, he would bring tenacity to the middle of the park. Furthermore, given that he is only 22, Neves would fall in line with the Red Devils policy of signing young players perfectly.
