Football fans on social media have not taken things lightly with Liverpool pair Dejan Lovren and Jordan Henderson for the roles they played in the build-up to Tottenham's opener in Sunday's Premier League encounter.
The visitors ensured a great start by capitalising on a swift counter-attacking move to take the lead against the run of play at Anfield. Barely 40 seconds into the replay of last season's UEFA Champions League Final, Moussa Sissoko begun a marauding run in midfield to hand he ball over to Son Heung-min.
The South Korean then cut inside Henderson, onto his right foot, before sending a strike from 20-yard out toward's Liverpool's goal. However, his attempt took a big deflection off the head of Dejan Lovren, hitting the crossbar at the near post.
The ball then ended up in the path of Harry Kane who simply guided it past Alisson Becker amid claims of being offside. Watch the goal below:
All it took was 47 seconds for Harry Kane to score his sixth Premier League goal of the season and hand Spurs the lead against Liverpool.

Albeit the fortune favoring Kane for being at the right place at the right time, fans have slammed Lovren and Henderson heavily for failing to deal with the threat before the goal was conceded. Below are a few reactions:
Just watch Lovren. Watch him. He barely cares where Van Dijk is or what he's saying. Told you before - Virgil fucking hates playing with him and that's why. Does nothing he's told. Everyone else who plays there, does.

1 bad performance vs Salzburg has wiped out Gomez's near flawless work at CB at the start of last season

Whilst a Lovren disasterclass ve Genk has rewarded him with another start vs Spurs who he was awful against in both a 4-1 loss & 2-2 draw
I don't understand Klopp sometimes
Henderson and Lovren.

I give up.
Gomez' margin for error is an inch while Lovren's is ten thousand miles.
