The next series of matches in the English Premier League promises to be interesting with both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur suffering defeats over the weekend. Thanks to Olivier Giroud’s first-half header, the Blues reduced the points difference between themselves and fourth-placed Spurs to just two.

Jurgen Klopp’s men who needed just a draw to seal qualification to next season’s Champions League now have three points separating them and the Stamford Bridge outfit. A big task lies ahead of the Merseysiders who will need a win in their final game against Brighton & Hove Albion to consolidate their top four finish.
Chelsea, on the other hand would have to prevail against Huddersfield in their next game while hoping that either of Tottenham and Liverpool fluff their lines in their respective games.
