It was a sight to behold at the Etihad after Pep Guardiola’s men were officially handed the 2017/2018 English Premier League trophy as their reward for a domineering campaign. With two more games left to be played, Manchester City sits atop the league log with 94 points - 17 points more than their trailing rivals, Manchester United.
Prior to kick-off, the champions were met with a guard-of-honor made up of survivors of their 1968 title-winning team. The highlight of the coronation day, however, was when fans of the club who invaded the pitch to join in the title celebration were spotted with a banner which says: “Football aside get well Fergie.”
A touch of class from Man City.

On Saturday, Manchester United’s official Twitter account tweeted that their former manager has had a successful brain surgery and was in intensive care. Manchester City, in turn, sympathized with their bitter rivals and tweeted their support for the former Scottish manager.
