The Welsh legend has made it his duty to become a voice of wisdom for Bale, given his experience with long-term injuries.

Ryan Giggs is determined to bring back the best version of Gareth Bale, and the first step in his agenda is to keep the Welsh all-time top scorer in shape.

With that in mind, Giggs established a few rules for Bale to follow during their first trip as player and coach for the Welsh National Team during this international break.

The first rule Bale will have to observe has to do with his down time: no golfing. The player likes to swing clubs from time to time, but Giggs found out that such an activity could cause Bale a relapse from an old back injury.

In fact, Bale and his team-mates had scheduled a trip to a golf course while in China, but had to cancel it due to their coach's orders, according to a report by The Times.

Furthermore, Giggs spoke privately to Bale about his hamstring problems, and urged him to drive just one of his cars to avoid more injuries to that part of his body. According to the report, Giggs knows out of personal experience that managing different clutch pedals could pile up the stress on his left leg, which eventually causes more injuries.

Only time will tell if Bale followed Giggs' pointers, but the Welsh coach seems to be on top of things when it comes to looking out for his players' health.
