Jose Mourinho has made known Paul Pogba’s preferred system and has lashed out at reports which suggest that he isn’t in the best of terms with his star man.

Recent reports suggest that a feud has brewed between the Portuguese manager and the Manchester United world-record signing after the former refused to play the Frenchman in his best position. This has consequently lead to speculations that hint at the ex-Juventus player’s imminent departure, with Real Madrid being his preferred destination.

However, Jose Mourinho has finally set the record straight as to what system allows Paul Pogba to play to the best of his ability. The former Chelsea manager further branded the purported rift between him and his midfield powerhouse as “lies”.

“Do you know which is the Pogba preferred system? 4-3-3. Do you know which is Pogba’s favorite position in the 4-3-3? No.8 on the left,” Mourinho said in his press conference ahead of Manchester United’s FA Cup encounter with Huddersfield.

“I would like someone to tell me in which position Pogba played against Newcastle. Does one of you want to tell me?

“We played with one no.6 and two no.8s. We played with Matic as a no.6, Lingard on the right side of Matic and Pogba on the left.

“So it's easy and honest, and objective to say Paul Pogba did not play well against Newcastle.

“But some of the guys are paid millions and don't let people read things that are not true. You are paid to read the game, to explain people the game, don't say b-------.”

Jose Mourinho confirmed that Paul Pogba will be in the squad to feature against Huddersfield on Saturday.
