Earlier today, Manchester City allegedly submitted a bid involving Raheem Sterling and a handsome fee. The Gunners have replied asking for another player.

Alexis Sánchez's future could be solved this week, especially after Arsenal are finally giving in to the player's demands.

The Gunners have received a player-plus-cash bid that would see the Chilean striker joining Manchester City this summer, with Raheem Sterling going the other way. Arsenal's counter proposal to the Sky Blues seems like far-fetched, but could end up being a good deal for both parties.

According to several news reports, Arsenal asked Manchester City officers to include Sergio "Kun" Aguero instead of Raheem Sterling, in order to facilitate the transfer. The Argentine has been consistently linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium, and this deal could give Pep Guardiola a chance to part ways with a player he doesn't fully trust.

A good example of the bittersweet relationship between the pair happened during the weekend, as Aguero started the game against Bournemouth on the bench. At 29, Aguero remains a fan-favorite for Manchester City fans, but his up and coming displays are not Guardiola's cup of tea.

The player trained today with the Chilean National Team ahead of two crucial WC Qualifiers.

As the transfer window comes to a close, Sánchez's future could be among those to be decided in the last minute. Let's wait and see what sort of Manchester City offers to Arsenal's demands.
