It's Olympique Lyonnais vs Real Madrid again in the Last 16 of the UEFA Champions League and Aulas isn't really happy...
Olympique Lyon owner Jean-Michel Aulas has witnessed his team’s excellent record against Real Madrid over the past years in the Champions League. However, he has revealed that he didn’t to face Los Blancos for yet another time although last season’s Olympique Lyon-Real Madrid tie ended in favor of the French.

After the Champions League draw on Friday, Jean-Michel Aulas talked to the club’s official website about being paired against Florentino Perez’s revolutionized team. He revealed:

“That’s the draw I was fearing the most because revenge should have given us the opportunity to face Bayern Munich [against which Lyon lost in last season’s semis].

“I suppose Real Madrid will express the desire to brush away the exit that they suffered last year. And they’ll do so with new ways and new ambitions.”

But aside from his anxiety, Olympique Lyon’s Jean-Michel Aulas also showed confidence, saying:

“But why would we not imagine ourselves qualifying for the Last 8? By the way, [the Lyon vs Real Madrid match] will also give us the chance to see Karim [Benzema] at the Stade Gerland.

“I’ve noticed Real Madrid leaders who weren’t quite happy to be drawn with us. But, everyone will prepare their team in order to be completely ready at the time of confrontation.”

Olympique Lyon defend an unbeaten record against Real Madrid. They’ve drawn thrice and won thrice against Los Blancos. Their last meeting ended in a draw at the Bernabeu and it eventually put Olympique Lyon through to the Last 8 of the 2009/2010 UEFA Champions League as the French had defeated Madrid 1-0 at the Stade Gerland previously.
