Lots of surprises and interesting results from Serie A matchday 20 over the weekend. LiveSoccerTV.com runs an eye over some of the most interesting stats, facts, and numbers from all the action in round 20.

2017 has arrived, and that means that Serie A is back in full swing. Later today, AC Milan will lock horns with Torino in a re-match of last week's Coppa Italia tie. The Granata, naturally, will be seeking revenge on the Rossoneri for ending their Coppa Italia campaign, and that will be the final match of round 20. However, there was still plenty of talking points from this weekend's action, with some big teams both gaining - and dropping - points.

Let's have a look at some of them.

1. Juventus's away woes

What a difference one week can make.

On matchday 19, Juventus beat Bologna 3-0 to make it 26 consecutive league home wins in a row - setting a Serie A record.

Well, this past Sunday saw Juventus fail to pick up all three points against Fiorentina. Heading into that game, the Viola had won just one out of their last 17 meetings with the Bianconeri. In losing, this marks the first loss for La Vecchia Signora since October 2013, when they were defeated 4-2. This means that Massimiliano Allegri's men have lost four games this term, but curiously enough, Juventus have yet to draw a game so far in the league.

In conceding two goals to the Viola, the Bianconeri also set a rather unwanted precedent:

It goes without saying that Allegri will be livid with his side after this showing, especially considering how they nearly threw away the game against Atalanta in their mid-week Coppa Italia tie.

And speaking of that game...

2. Are Atalanta Bayern Munich in disguise?

Obviously not. But La Dea certainly gave Juventus quite a fright at Juventus Stadium. It is not too often that any team arrives at La Vecchia Signora's home ground and manages to score, let alone more than once.

But that's exactly what Atalanta, who have been among the biggest surprises in Serie A this season, did last week. In scoring two goals, Gian Piero Gasperini's side became the first team to score two goals against Juventus at Juventus Stadium since Bayern Munich did so in February 2016. That match, of course, ended as a 2-2 draw before die Roten trounced the Turin giants in the round of 16 away leg a few weeks' later.

In Atalanta's case, the two goals were not enough to see them through to the next round of the Coppa Italia, but it still definitely made quite a large number of Juve supporters way more uncomfortable than they would have liked.

3. Inter's resurgent form

Speaking of the Nerazzurri, the "other" Nerazzurri - also known as Inter, had a much better time this weekend. Under Stefano Pioli's leadership, Inter appear to be slowly turning a corner. In their past two games, they have conceded first, but have managed to not just claw their way back into the game, but come out on top.

In fact, Inter have picked up 15 points from trailing situations. That's the most out of any team in Serie A, and three of those were earned against Chievo.

And in beating the Flying Donkeys, the Nerazzurri continued their excellent run of form at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza:

4. Mauro Icardi equals Zlatan...and Bobo Vieri

Inter have been criticized by many due to their "Icard-ependence", or specifically, an overreliance on skipper Mauro Icardi. The Argentinian international has been again the go-to man for the Nerazzurri this season, and added his 15th of the campaign in the come-back against Chievo on Saturday.

For the past few seasons, Icardi has been a consistent goal-scorer for Inter, and that 15th goal not only keeps him two goals clear in the race for the Capocannoniere, but also puts him in some pretty esteemed company:

5. Roma's penalty luck

At the end of last year, we noted a few interesting tidbits from 2016 in Serie A. One was that Roma, despite not winning the title, had the most goals (90) scored in the league over the calendar year.

But did you know that the Giallorossi also rank highest in number of penalties taken? Not just in Italy, but among Europe's "Big Five" leagues. Against Udinese, they were given a tenth spot-kick opportunity, but Edin Dzeko failed to convert. Nonetheless, Luciano Spalletti's side managed to hang on to win 1-0 and now close the gap on Juve to just one point (albeit the Bianconeri have a match in hand).

6. Torino's Andrea Belotti in a class of his own

He may not be a household name among non-Serie A followers, but that will surely change pretty quickly if Andrea Belotti can continue his red-hot form in front of goal. The Torino striker has been having an excellent season with the Granata and has been linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico at some point.

He netted in Torino's Coppa Italia tie midweek, and whilst it was not enough to prevent the Granata from succumbing to a 2-1 loss, it nonetheless put him in a very unique category:

Not even Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Diego Costa, Sergio Aguero, Edinson Cavani, or any other attacker, for that matter, can boast to that stat so far this season.
