Manchester United will most probably be without two of their superstars when the winter transfer window closes.

Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay (pictured below) have played their last games for Manchester United - Jose Mourinho has confirmed. The two stars have failed to impress the Portuguese tactician since his arrival at the club last summer and are now subject to bids from different Premier League clubs.Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin

The Daily Mirror understands that Everton have had two of their bids for Schneiderlin turned down for being below Man Utd's expectations of anything above £20 million. West Bromwich Albion have also reportedly received the same response from Man Utd after tabling a low bid for the Frenchman.

Depay, on the other hand, has been linked with moves to Fenerbahce and also Everton. Mourinho told reporters:

“Their situation is exactly the same, both of them. I will allow them to leave, the club will allow if the right offer comes. Until this moment, no.

“Is this good? No. Why not? Because I don’t think about them as options. Normally they would be selected tomorrow but they aren’t because we are waiting for something that a few weeks ago seemed 100 per cent, but not now.''

Surprisingly, German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger will be part of the red devils' squad to face Preston in the FA Cup  on Saturday. The 32-year-old has only played one game under the ex-Chelsea boss.Bastian Schweinsteiger

Mourinho added:

“He is selected again. So he can start or he can be on the bench. He is an option for us. That’s the best way to describe it. For many months he wasn’t.

“When we brought him back for the first couple of weeks he wasn’t ready but since then he’s worked very well. He was ill last week but never an injury. His body is fine and he’s training very well.

“My approach is if a player is not playing I cannot stop him leaving if the offer is right. Bastian played some minutes against West Ham and no more than that.''

“He wants to stay and he is staying and he is an option. He’s selected tomorrow and at Crystal Palace - for three or four matches.

“He is waiting for his opportunity to play. I think January is a good month for that with so many matches.”
