Manchester United teenage sensation Marcus Rashford has revealed that he hopes to emulate former club legend Cristiano Ronaldo. The ‘debut boy’ was speaking before the Red Devils’ league encounter with Stoke City at the Old Trafford stadium in Greater Manchester, England, on Sunday.
Rashford has a solid reputation of scoring on his debuts – he has found the back of the net on his Man Utd, Premier League, league Cup and Europa League debuts, including the England U21 and England national senior team. The fan favorite now hopes to learn from Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the most iconic players to have played for the English club.

In an interview with Sky Sports’ Soccer AM, the 18-year-old heaped praises on the Real Madrid star during his reign in England. He said:
''In recent years Ronaldo is the example, wherever you put him in the attacking three he's going to make an impact and the opposition are going to fear him.
''Being a constant threat, that's what I need to develop.''
He also hailed the partnership of the former Man Utd star alongside his teammate Wayne Rooney, who formed one of the most dreaded attacking trio in the league back in 2007/08. He added:
''(Wayne) Rooney and Ronaldo were unreal. In 2007/08 it was an unreal partnership, they have been huge players I have looked up to and watched how they perform to try to put into my own performance.''
Rashford has already scored three league goals for Manchester United in four appearances this season. He is one of the key players to watch as the Red Devils take on the potters at home on Sunday.
