Match stats

  • Liverpool has won 50% of their games against Swansea (8 out of 16) in all competitions.

  • Back in May, Swansea ended a three-year spell without a win against the Reds with a 3-1 score.

Team news

The Swans haven't been able to win a single match at Liberty Stadium this season, drawing one and losing two of those outings. For this match, coach Francesco Guidolin won't have Nathan Dyer around, while Federico Fernández's fitness is a matter of concern for the French boss, who could decide to leave him out of Saturday's squad.

Swansea's record signing, Borja Bastón, will be looking for his first goal with the Welsh side on Saturday.

On the other side of the pitch, coach Jurgen Klopp will have most of his players available, as Dejan Lovren will be elegible following his absence through illness last week. Defender Joe Gomez could also make the squad after a long spell on the sidelines, but the German boss may leave his starting lineup as it is considering their recent success.

Striker Adam Lallana will try to keep up the good work for the Reds after his scintillating performances in September.
