A bumper wage package and a new shirt number reportedly await the German ace.

Although only an official confirmation will ease worry from the fans, rumors that Mesut Ozil has agreed a new deal with Arsenal will poor water over the fire fueling speculations of an exit.

Alongside Alexis Sanchez, reports claimed that Mesut Ozil was not content with the Gunners and the titles he had won with the north London outfit since joining – two FA Cup and a Community Shield.

As a result, rumors claimed that he the World Cup winner reached a point where he would leave the Emirates for a more successful club should any come calling, with Real Madrid still big in his heart.

However, Bild look to put an end to that by claiming – per Henning Feindt – that the 27-year-old has agreed a new mega contract with Arsenal which will keep at the Emirates past 2018, the expiration date of his current deal.

Although details such as the length of his new deal or new salary haven’t been disclosed, being the club’s biggest earner, Ozil is definitely in line to earn more than his current £140,000-per-week wage package.

In addition, Bild claim the Assist King will be handed a new number: the number 10 jersey vacated by Jack Wilshere. This is despite the fact that the Englishman is only away on loan to Bournemouth.

Previous reports claimed Ozil was keen on inserting a buyout clause in any potential new Arsenal deal. Whether the Gunners caved into this demand remains unclear.
