Gomis joined the Swans in 2014 on a four-year deal after his contract expired with Ligue 1 club Lyon. Since his arrival to the English side, he has made 71 appearances, scoring 17 goals in the process.
The France international has netted three times in 12 matches for his national team; however, he was not called up to feature in Euro 2016.
Bafe Gomis is Marseille's seventh summer signing following the acquisition of goalkeeper Brice Samba, full-backs Henri Bedimo, Tomáš Hubočan and Hiroki Sakai, midfielder Saîf-Eddine Khaoui, and forwards Leya Iseka and Bill Tuiloma.
