Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain could ditch the North Londoners to join Serie A giants Juventus. If the deal goes through, this could pave way for Pogba’s move out of the Turin-based club as he prepares to join Premier League giants Manchester United or their La Liga counterparts Real Madrid.

Arsenal want to buy the lethal forward from Napoli in exchange for the inconsistent Olivier Giroud. Arsene Wenger has already brought in Takuma Asano from Japanese outfit Sanfrecce Hiroshima, but he is still interested in bringing in a lethal forward, according to reports from North London.

Higuain was highly-linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium but according to Sky Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Argentine could be headed to Turin to link up with the Old Lady for 78 million pounds.

Juve are reportedly planning to recover the money by selling Pogba to either Manchester United or Real Madrid, in a move that could amount to 100 million pounds. This would become the most expensive transfer in the history of world football. Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale currently holds the record of the most expensive signing in the world thanks to his 85 million-pound move from Tottenham Hotspur to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Higuain was crucial to Napoli last season, having scored 36 goals, a performance that attracted interest from a number of clubs in European and China. An unnamed Chinese club was willing to offer him a deal worth 800,000 pounds week, but the 28-year-old turned it down.
