The 2016-17 German Bundesliga season kicks off on August 26 at 14:30 ET/18:30 GMT/20:30 CET, with a clash between Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen. Here are season fixtures and TV broadcasters info.

Fans of German football will have a lot to enjoy all season long as every match day presents more or less interesting fixtures. The action begins with the champions Bayern making the first step in their quest to secure their 26th Bundesliga title.

Week 1

- Bayern Munich vs SV Werder Bremen
- Borussia Dortmund vs FSV Mainz 05
- Borussia Mönchengladbach vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen
- Hertha BSC vs Sport-Club Freiburg
- FC Köln vs SV Darmstadt 98
- Hamburger SV vs FC Ingolstadt 04
- FC Augsburg vs VfL Wolfsburg
- TSG 1899 Hoffenheim vs RB Leipzig
- Eintracht Frankfurt vs FC Schalke 04

The league calendar will be interrupted by the September international break, but once it resumes, the pressure will be on newly-promoted side RB Leipzig, who face a tough challenge as early as the second round at home against Borussia Dortmund.

Suspense will rise in October when Borussia Mönchengladbach square off against the Bavarians – a club against which they have not lost since January 24, 2014. What is expected to make big headlines though is the German Clasico scheduled for the third week of December.

Now the big question comes up: Where to watch the German Bundesliga?
