New York/Los Angeles– Every year, on the final day of England’s Barclays Premier League season, all 20 teams from the world’s top domestic soccer competition play each other in a frantic 10-match race for financial survival, hardware and European honors. This year, on May 13, for the first time in American television history, nine of those matches are being carried live simultaneously by one family of outlets.

FOX Soccer Plus acquires Australian Football League television rights

With origins dating back to 1858, the AFL is Australia’s most-attended domestic sporting competition and the highest level of Australian Rules Football in the world.

This exclusive media rights agreement brings coverage of live matches to FOX Soccer Plus beginning March 24, lasting through the 2014 season. Additionally, the network is carrying the AFL’s showcase event, the Grand Final, in September live from the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

FOX Soccer Plus becomes new home of Scottish Premier League

LOS ANGELES (March 13, 2012) – FOX Soccer Plus, America’s premium television network dedicated to delivering the world’s best soccer and international sports, is the new home of the Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League in the United States and Caribbean. This exclusive agreement with SPORTFIVE International secures the SPL television rights for the remainder of the 2011-12 season through the 2013-2014 campaign.

The first SPL match on FOX Soccer Plus takes place on Saturday, March 17, when Dundee United host Rangers at Tannadice Park (8:40 a.m. ET). The Old Firm Derby, Scotland’s premier rivalry contested between Glasgow powerhouses Celtic and Rangers, is being carried by FOX Soccer on Sunday, March 25 (8:00 a.m. ET).

That marks the highest monthly total in a month not featuring World Cup or European Championship play in FOXsoccer.com’s nearly six-year history.

December’s tally was bolstered by incredible site traffic on Dec. 2, the day FIFA announced its host nations for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups; FOXSoccer.com recorded one million total visits and 1.6 million page views on Dec. 2.

(LOS ANGELES) – Fox Soccer Plus, a new network intended to complement Fox Soccer Channel and complete the ultimate soccer fan experience, is scheduled to launch in fan-friendly high definition on Monday, March 1, 2010, it was announced today by David Nathanson, General Manager and Executive Vice President of Fox Soccer Channel.

Fox to launch Fox Sports Plus

Fox will announce Tuesday that it is launching its second all-soccer network in the United States on March 1.

The new network, called Fox Soccer Plus, will televise matches of the European Champions League, England's Premier League, the English Football Association Cup and the Italian Serie A.

Fox Soccer Channel began operation in 1997 and changed its name to FSC five years ago.

"As America's interest in the world's game is increasing, the launch of Fox Soccer Plus will complement and enhance our current programming on Fox Soccer Channel," new FSC general manager David Nathanson said.
