Fresh from signing a new deal with Atletico Madrid, Antoine Griezmann proved to his fans that he has what it takes to become the next big name in European football. The Frenchman put up a man of the match performance against the Republic of Ireland to steer his country to the quarter-finals of the European Championship. 

The visitors had opened the scoring from the spot in the second minute of the game after Shane Long was fouled by Paul Pogba in the box. But in the 58th minute, Griezmann sent the home fans into a frenzy with his equalizer and then gave them more reason to celebrate three minutes later when he scored the winner. The 25-year-old has now scored 35 goals for club and country this season, a performance that has made him one of the most sought-after forwards in the world of football.  Here are some of the reactions to his Man of the Match performance against the Green Army.
