The Mexican striker celebrated his 28th birthday by giving Mexico a 1-0 victory against Chile during their last friendly match prior to the beginning of Copa América Centenario.

Mexican striker Javier Hernández surely knows how to celebrate his birthday.

Bayer Leverkusen's forward stepped in to solve things for Mexico, during their last warmup match before the start of this year's Copa América Centenario. Taking Raul Jimenez's place up front, "Chicharito" only needed ten minutes to make his presence felt on the pitch, solving a complicated match against Chile.

This was "Chicharito's" 44th goal with El Tri, and now the striker only needs three more to become Mexico's all-time top scorer. Former Bolton Wanderers striker Jared Borgetti owns that record with 46 goals.

Have a look at Chicharito's finish against La Roja.

This was a special win for Mexico, as it allowed them to break a few records. First off, El Tri's goalkeepers have kept a clean sheet in their most recent eight games, making them the first CONCACAF team to accomplish that feat in history, a record they share with South American giants like Brazil, Argentina and Chile. If that wasn't enough, this win keeps Mexico's 19-game unbeaten streak going, the second best tally ever for El Tri.
