Manchester United goalkeeper was in sensational form for The Red Devils against Everton at Old Trafford on Saturday. The hosts secured a 1-0 win over The Toffees, hence reviving their top four hopes. But Luis Van Gaal’s side risked losing the slim win had it not been for the heroic performance of David de Gea. The Spaniard provided a series of amazing saves as Man United defence was caught napping several times.
The Spaniard has now recorded 15 clean sheets this season more than any other Premier League goalkeeper.
This is not the first time the former Atletico Madrid man has saved LVG’s side from perishing; he was equally impressive when the Red Devils visited the Etihad Stadium last month to face their city rivals Manchester City, among other countless games in all competitions.
Here are some of the reactions on Twitter following his heroic performance:
Darley Blind should be the best United player this season. the lad is so composed. however @D_DeGea has been excellent @ManUtd
