Porto's Jesus Corona scored a screamer for El Tri as time expired, helping Mexico reach the next stage of the World Cup Qualifiers in the CONCACAF region

It may not have been Mexico's best game in these Qualifiers, but it surely left fans something to remember.

Juan Carlos Osorio's side managed to win its fourth straight game in CONCACAF's Group A of the Russia 2018 Qualifiers, beating a well-placed Canadian defense that learned from last Friday's mistakes. A penalty kick by PSV's Andrés Guardado and a skillful play by Jesus Corona ended up giving the Mexicans a two-goal lead they would never miss.

As time expired in the first half, Jesus Corona emulated Zinedine Zidane's "roulette" inside Canada's box, adding a classy touch to his play to send the ball into the back of the Canadians' net. This was the third goal for Porto's wingman in this Qualifiers, and it helped secure Mexico's spot in the next round.

Corona's skills even earned the praise of Spanish legend David Villa, who was amazed by the player's performance against Les Rouges.

Having sealed their ticket to the next round, Mexico will now have the chance to "choose" one of their opponents, considering that Honduras will have to play a crucial game against them in September, and a loss would complicate things a bit for the Central American side. Mexico's games in Group A will end against El Salvador, a team they defeated 3-0 back in November.
