The Red Devils started the year with a bang with Wayne Rooney getting himself back to the scoresheet after a disappointing run with the 20-time Premier League champions for the better part of the first leg of the season. His classic goal against Swansea was his 238th goal for Manchester United, which makes him the club’s second-highest scorer of all-time, just 11 goals behind the legendary Sir Bobby Charlon (249).
The 30-year-old is also the second-highest Premier League scorer of all-time with 188 goals. Allan Shearer leads the pack with 260 goals, Rooney comes second, Andy Cole comes third with 187 while Frank Lampard is fourth with 177.
