Steven Gerrard wasn't able to keep himself away from Liverpool's training grounds, and as his MLS team has already been eliminated, he decided to train once again with his beloved Reds, after having Jürgen Klopp's approval.
With the MLS season starting in March of 2016, "Stevie G" needed to keep himself fit, and Klopp thought it was a good idea to have him around, so that those new players can learn from a legendary player like Gerrard.
"I spoke with Steven, one phone call and a few messages. He's a Liverpool legend, of course. But his contract, as I know, is in the USA. But during his break time, I told him, 'of course you can come whenever you want; you can train with us, do whatever is good for you'. Our doors are always open for him. That is clear," Klopp told reporters today.
The team's Twitter feed celebrated the captain's comeback.

After the option of a comeback was ruled out for Gerrard, the player himself stated why he chose to train with the team, revealing it was Jurgen Klopp's training methods that influenced his decision.
"I’m looking forward going into the new set-up, to having a look at what Klopp’s all about tactically. You just watch him in those interviews and you just love watching him. He’s got that infectious personality and I’m excited to go and spend some time with him," Gerrard added.
Liverpool fans were able to get a closer look thanks to their official Twitter account.
