Ahead of Sunday’s north London derby, Le Prof revealed his thoughts on Harry Kane

Ahead of Sunday’s eagerly-awaited north London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger revealed his thoughts on Spurs star striker Harry Kane.

According to the French manager, he was left “a bit angry” after finding out that the talented 22-year-old was an Arsenal player before leaving the club, a move which led to him joining Spurs around two years later

The English striker joined the Gunners at the age of eight, but departed a year and a half later. This fact remained unknown to the public as his exploits last season racked in rave reviews and interest from Europe’s biggest clubs.

However, after the English striker’s meteoric rise to fame in his wonderful, 31-goal debut season at White Hart Lane, his previous allegiance to their north London rivals surfaced.

“I didn’t know that (Kane was at Arsenal) until I read it in the papers," said Wenger.

“I found it quite funny, you know, but you are always a bit angry as well because I asked why did he go?

“But at nine years of age, boys can move here and there. Some people move from Tottenham to Arsenal. At youth level, because their parents find a different job, they often move somewhere else.”

Kane scored the winning goal in his very first north London derby, and has scored 5 goals in his last three games. All of this has Le Prof predicting a bright future for the Three Lions ace.

“How good can he be, I don’t know. I don’t know who you could compare him with but I think he can be a top player,” Arsene added.

“He has top qualities and I think he will make a great career. Once a player is at Spurs you do not even consider him anymore to be on your radar because you do not historically have many transfers from one club to the other.”
