Bayern's midfielder shared a message through his social media account explaining his absence from the National Team, following reports that revealed a possible disciplinary action exercized by coach Sampaoli.

Arturo Vidal's absence from Chile started the rumor mill, giving tabloids in his home country the chance to speculate about the real reason behind his departure from Chile's National team earlier this week.

According to reports coming from the South American country, Vidal returned to the team's camp site late at night, after spending a night out with his friends, which would have included some heavy drinking. After his supposed night out, Vidal left the team without giving any explanation, while coach Jorge Sampaoli revealed he had to leave due to an undisclosed "personal matter".

Chilean tabloids treated the story just like they did months ago, when Vidal crashed his new Ferrari after a night on the town while playing the Copa América. Back then, "King" Arturo paid a fine and apologized to the public, asking for forgiveness in order to keep his spot with La Roja.

Today, Vidal revealed his truth via Twitter, stating that he will be tending to his son who has diabetes. According to the talented midfielder, his son will be undergoing a series of experimental tests in Italy, trying to find the cure for his illness.

"The first worldwide Artificial Pancreas Experimental Treatment for kids in pediatric age starts today! It's called #PEDerPAN, in Bardoneccia, Italy. In it, a number of boys -including our son-, will get together with doctors and engineers from the Diabetes Control Centers of Torino, Milano, Roma and Napoli...We hope this experiment is a success! COME ON YOU WARRIOR!!!"

It is yet unclear if Vidal will stay the full week with his son, or if he will return to play with Bayern Munich next week, once the International break is over.
