Wegner has claimed his striker is at the same level of Luis Suarez. Coutinho was the best player for Liverpool last season.

Arsenal and Liverpool meet at Emirates in what will be a very important game to close the third week of action in the English Premier League. Unless the goalkeepers keep a clean sheet, chances are there will be some goals and they could come from Alexis Sanchez and Philippe Coutinho.

Sanchez always hungry for more

Alexis is known for being a fierce competitor, someone that will go one to one with the toughest defenders and look for ways to win each battle he is presented with. If Arsenal wants to beat Liverpool today, they must look for Sanchez. This Chilean is motivated after winning Chile's first Copa America in 99 years.

Alexis Sanchez has been compared by his manager to former Liverpool striker, Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan striker has similar characteristics to Alexis and Wegner was even after Suarez a few years back. One year after he stated his initial bid for El Pistolero, Barcelona bought him from the Reds.

It's like nothing changed in the Premier League

At that time, Alexis was with Barcelona and with Suarez joining the Spanish club. Having to compete against Messi, Pedro and others for a starting spot, adding Suarez to the mix would make it almost impossible for him to play so moving to England was a safe bet in many ways.

Now, Alexis is among the best strikers in the Premier League. Last season he finished among the top-five with 16 goals despite missing many games with injuries. He was the leading scorer for Arsenal and knows his role as a goal-scorer and a leader with the Gunners.

Arsenal fans like what they have

This season, he has yet to celebrate a goal, after two games. So far, he has ten shots on goal but no luck finding the back of the net. It's taking him some time to find a rhythm after a long summer playing for Chile, but this Monday could be his lucky day.

Liverpool's maestro named Coutinho

On the other side, Philippe Coutinho must continue showing his magic moves to give Liverpool a winning chance this season, and of course in this game. The Brazilian was considered to be the best player in Liverpool's roster last season.

There is something about him

It is very hard to stop a player like Coutinho. Different from Alexis, his position allows him to start the plays further back and work along with the offense to create scoring chances.  He was not among the leading scorers but he was one of the players that saved himself from criticism coming from Liverpool fans after a poor season.

For Coutinho, it is important that the team succeeds as a unit and having another Brazilian like Roberto Firmino, could really help him reach a full potential. Last season he played in 35 games and scored five goals along with five assists. In two games this season he already has one goal and 11 shots under his name.

This two players want to start an era in Liverpool

While finishing plays is not his forté, he is very good at passing long balls, short passes and just like most Brazilians, dribbling is another one of his strengths. Coutinho has proved that he understands his teammates. While Mario Balotelli is on the verge of leaving, Christian Benteke may be his go-to man for most plays.
