Solo is under investigation in case regarding domestic violence from June 2014. Many analysts claim she is the best goalkeeper in the world.

The United States Women's national team is about to debut in the 2015 Women's World Cup and a ghost from the past regarding Hope Solo's domestic violence case made an unexpected visit. This became the main topic of discussion in the press conference held by USWNT coach Jill Ellis just ahead of their game against Australia.

ESPN's "Outside the Lines" questioned some of the details from the investigation. Solo's half-sister, Teresa Obert appeared to be speaking against Solo. The report strongly implied that what has been said about the 33-year-old's behavior and the court case may not be completely true and possibly incomplete.

The allegations are pretty strong in the latest reports

"Hope's been fantastic and we've moved on. So none of [the report] has resonated with us, " Ellis said, recalling the strong bond within the team. "I think it was something a long time ago and we've put it to bed."

Hope Solo is focused on the World Cup only

The United States is ranked number two in the world behind Germany. They have won two of their last three preparation games, including a 5-1 win over Mexico in Los Angeles just less than a month ago. In the group stage they will face Australia, Sweden and Nigeria.

Analysts from the United States also agree that this won't affect their star goalkeeper. They believe it is part of the past and that Hope Solo will prove her place in women's soccer this World Cup.

Some fans dislike the timing of the publication

"My only concern is that National Team goalkeepers for the U.S. team have a lot of down time. They have a lot of time to think. I hope that Hope Solo is just thinking about her performance," Eric Wynalda claimed.

Alexis Lalas, another analyst for FOX Sports in the U.S. feels that whatever she does on and off the field will always be scrutinized. He adds that there should be no reason to panic within the team's locker room. Hope Solo is a player that can shut down critics with stellar performances in every game.

"You may not like her, you may not want to hang out with her but you want her on your team," Lalas said.

Solo's lawyer had a quick response to the allegations being done in ESPN's report towards her client. He feels that what has been said time and time again in court by those trying to harm Solo just does not add up.

The team will not be rattled by controversy

"Police reports and other court documents clearly demonstrate that the alleged victims radically changed their stories on multiple occasions and twice refused to answer questions under oath, despite court order," the lawyer claimed in a statement.

For Solo's teammates, the newest allegations in Solo's case are not a topic of discussion within closed walls. Carli Loyd, who is Solo's roommate in Canada, does not seem to care about what is being said about her teammate.

"Honestly, I didn't discuss [the report] with her for one second."

Her quality as a goalkeeper can't be denied
