The April 2015 edition of the FIFA World Ranking for Men's Football was released on Thursday morning. There's good news for many well-known countries

Jurgen Klinsmann and the USMNT can be proud of themselves! They've gone five places up and are closing the gap on CONCACAF leaders Costa Rica. However, Mexico maintain its position above USA with 937 points and a spot in the Top 20 of the overall FIFA Rankings.

However, the biggest news has to be Belgium's breakthrough among the world's Top 3 nations. Deserved? Meanwhile, Harry Kane's England are back in the world's Top 15 whereas France are on their way out.

In the CONMEBOL zone, Brazil look to have recovered from their stunning World Cup semi-final and Third-place final fiasco. The five-time world champions are gradually getting back to the summit while Colombia are going down.

In intriguing fashion, CAF's most successful teams of late have all gone down. Namely, Algeria (Africa's best team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup), Ivory Coast (current AFCON champions) and Ghana (AFCON 2015 runners-up). Nigeria have also gone four places down while Cape Verde are now 37th in the world after shocking a second-choice Portuguese national team in a friendly match, last month.

OFC's second best team, New Caledonia (174th), are the worst movers (23 places down).
