Tottenham will come into this match full of confidence after recording a win over their arch rivals Arsenal last time out. Spurs enjoyed majority of possession during the match but went a goal behind after Mesut Ozil scored in the first half to give the Gunners a lead. Liverpool manager is vary of the threat posed by the 21 year old as well midfielder Ryan Mason who has been very impressive as of late. Rodgers identified the threat posed by both the youngsters but insisted that his team will concentrate more on their own game.

"Ryan Mason has been outstanding in the middle of the field. He's a good passer of the ball, a good mover, a very good technical player," Rodgers said.

"Harry Kane up front has shown all his life that he's a finisher. He's got different types of finishes.

"You have to pay attention to his threat. He can get different types of goals. He's very good around the box, and he wants to score goals," he continued.

"But the focus is very much on our own game. We've got a really talented group that's performing well at the moment. If we can find that clinical edge at the top end of the field, that's the improvement we need to make."

"The defensive balance of the team, and how they've been working, is very good. But we need to finish our chances, and especially in big games, when there maybe aren't as many chances."

Liverpool on the other hand are slowly moving up in the table and will be hoping to break into the top four, a win against Tottenham will be very important if they want to achieve their targets.
The Reds have lost just once in their last 14 matches in all competitions and will be hoping to continue that run. They will be hoping for an improved performance after a stalemate in the Merseyside derby last time out.

Liverpool will be buoyed by their impressive record against Spurs at home having conceded defeat against the North London side just once in their last 20 matches at Anfield.

Liverpool have injury concerns over the likes of Raheem Sterling, Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana all of whom will have late fitness tests. Whereas Lucas Leiva is expected to miss the match at Anfield. Daniel Sturridge is poised to make his first start since August last year and 19 year old Jordon Ibe could feature after impressing against Everton.
