Liverpool will play Manchester United in the 2014-15 Premier League campaign on the 14th of December at the Old Trafford. Check the live TV and online streaming broadcast listings for Man United vs Liverpool below.

The Reds were only able to secure a draw in their must win encounter against Basel last time out which means that Liverpool will not be able to participate in the next round of the Champions League and have been demoted to the Europa League as a result. This, coupled with Liverpool's dismal performances in the Premier League has put Brendan Rodgers' position as head coach of Liverpool in jeopardy.

The Merseyside outfit has already suffered six defeats in 15 games and their antics have left them in ninth position in the Premier League table. However despite of the recent disappointments, midfielder Joe Allen is confident that his side can take confidence from their win in the corresponding fixture last season and record an important win.

"We had a fantastic result there last season, so we'll be looking to draw some confidence and inspiration from that performance and we'll go there and try to get the win," he said.

"They are great games to play in between two clubs who are massive globally and there's a great rivalry between the clubs. These matches are great to be a part of."

"Last season it was a great feeling to go to Old Trafford and get the three points and all of the players want that feeling again."

"When you are a kid, these are the kind of games you can't wait to watch and these are the games that inspire all of the players in the dressing room as it's great to be involved in."

"So we can't wait for it and both sets of fans can't wait for the kick-off either."

The mood at the theatre of dreams on the other hand is the complete opposite. After a slow start to the new campaign the Red Devils have hit the ground running and have won all of their last five matches. They were against a high flying Southampton side last time out a match they won by a 2-1 score line. Robin Van Persie struck early in the game and cancelled Pelle's strike in the second half to give his side a victory.

As a result Man United have reduced the gap between themselves and league leaders Chelsea to just eight points and will definitely be hoping to be in the mix of things in the coming weeks.

United will be without star signing Angel Di Maria but will be boosted by the returning duo of Rafael and Phil Jones. Mario Balotelli has returned to training for Liverpool and could feature against Man United, Kolo Toure is expected to recover from a groin injury as well.
