After some changes in their starting lineup, Brendan Rodgers' squad managed to give his coach some room to breathe after today's victory.

Liverpool managed to give their fans something to talk about this month after beating Stoke City in the final minutes of the game. Nevertheless, Brendan Rodgers' team needs to improve their current form, since their display on the pitch has been way too disappointing after last season's performance.

With Steven Gerrard on the bench, Liverpool gave full control of the midfield to Philippe Coutinho and Joe Allen, with mixed results. The Reds had the ball, but were not able to create real danger in Asmir Begovic's box. Fans were not pleased and showed their little satisfaction when the first 45 minutes were over.

After the break, Stoke City showed some courage and started attacking Simon Mignolet's goal more often. Bojan Krkic and Mame Diouf enjoyed some chances, but were not able to score against a shaky Liverpool defense.

Rodgers gave Steven Gerrard a few minutes on the pitch, and the substitution clearly paid off. Stevie G took control of the midfield and Liverpool started generating options, with Rickie Lambert enjoying a huge chance that he was not able to transform. Just when the game was nearing the final frontier, Glen Johnson took advantage of a deflection by Stoke's defense, then headed the ball into the back of the net, making Anfield fans go crazy.

Will the Reds fans be happy with this result? What did they think about Rodgers' lineup? Read some of their comments below.
