The Blues' star striker and the English Premier League's leading goalscorer has recovered from his hamstring injury, and is set to start for Jose Mourinho's side in Sunday's game

If you are part of the millions of people who play Fantasy Premier League, chances are Diego Costa's fitness issues has given you constant selection headaches, and have hampered your chances of beating your friends and/or co-workers to the title.

Time and time again the Spanish striker has been deemed unfit to feature for table-toppers Chelsea in the domestic league only to go and force his way into the starting eleven, ending up with a hat-trick in one particular occasion, with Sunday's match against Manchester United being the most recent example.

The former Atletico Madrid man was initially tipped to miss the trip to Old Trafford after picking up a hamstring injury whilst on international duty, before falling ill to a virus which landed him in hospital.

However, as reported by the Daily Mail, the league's leading goalscorer has overcome his latest injury woe, recovering from his illness, and after taking part in a Saturday training session, is now expected to start for the Blues' clash with the 20-time English Premier League champions.

This will come as a big boost to Jose Mourinho who, after losing French striker Loic Remy to a muscular injury in the 6-0 victory over Maribor in the Champions League, looked to have to rely on veteran, 36-year-old Ivorian attacker Didier Drogba.

With Ramires also set for a return from the sidelines, Louis Van Gaal's absentee list shows no sign of letting up, as Rooney is ruled out of Sunday's home tie due to suspension, whilst Falcao appears unlikely to play after taking a heavy knock during a Friday training session.

Another doubt for the Red Devils is £59.7m summer arrival and record British signing Angel Di Maria who is suffering of a thigh strain. Scoring three goals and grabbing four assists in only six English Premier League appearances, Manchester United's Dutch boss, however, still remains hopeful over the Argentine's race to recovery.
