With a whopping ten players already on the Gunners' injury list, Wenger will be hoping for the best after their English striker rolled his ankle during Sunday's game

Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck hobbled off in the English national team's Euro 2016 qualifiers clash with Estonia, on Sunday, being taken off the pitch 10 minutes from time after taking a knock to his ankle

The Gunners forward, who moved to the Emirates Stadium on transfer deadline day, headed straight into the dressing room where he was attended to by an England physio, according to Neil Ashton.

The Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson, however, was quick to calm any fears over the former Manchester United attacker's fitness, claiming he is confident that the 23-year-old will be available for Arsenal's next English Premier League game, a home clash with FA Cup runners-up Hull City.

“I don't think he's injured. He just rolled his ankle slightly. The doctors are not worried about it.”

Despite assurance from Hodgson, this will come as worrying, if not devastating news to the club's manager Arsene Wenger. The Frenchman has to already do without Les Blues forward Olivier Giroud, who was ruled out until 2015 after having surgery on a fractured tibia after injuring his foot in the 2-2 draw away to Everton.

Fellow French striker Yaya Sanogo is also currently out of the squad with injury, whilst English attacker Theo Walcott is yet to make his return to the pitch after suffering a ligament injury last January.

Other Arsenal absentees include club record signing Mesut Ozil, Welsh ace Aaron Ramsey, star center-back Laurent Koscielny, captain Mikel Arteta, injury-prone Frenchman Abou Diaby, right-back Mathieu Debuchy, and German youngster Serge Gnabry.
