Certainly, today was a good day for Manchester United fans as two of their new signings proved to be heroes on the afternoon. First mega-money signing Angel Di Maria put them ahead during the first half after some nice play with Juan Mata, and after Everton had pulled themselves back into the game, Red Devils fans finally got what they had been waiting for since the beginning of last month.
Di Maria, not surprisingly, provided an assist, but it was new striker Radamel Falcao who finally scored his first goal in a Manchester United kit, sealing all three points for Louis Van Gaal's troops. And given how the Colombian is renowned as one of the top attackers in the game, fans will hope to see more of this from him as he continues to recover from that devastating knee injury while at Monaco.
Here's how social media reacted to his debut goal:
Falcao hacks one off the line at one end and then scores at the other. Good day for him so far.
