Despite having played alongside the Chelsea star for years in the English NT, Rio Ferdinand has nothing positive to say about his former colleague.

QPR's Rio Ferdinand wasn't mincing words when it came to his feelings about colleagues John Terry and Ashley Cole.

The veteran defender, who had spent a dozen seasons with Manchester United before signing a one-year contract with his current club has recently, like many other footballers to pen an autobiography.

And in it, he has nothing nice to say about Terry nor Cole, despite having featured with the duo for the Three Lions for years.

The Chelsea skipper, as many know, who also served as captain of the English national squad, was embroiled in a race-related controversy three years ago when he was accused of hurling abuse at Ferdinand's younger brother, Anton.

Terry was cleared of racist language towards Anton Ferdinand, but had to pay a £220K fine and serve a four game suspension

And, given that the duo had worked closely for years, Ferdinand was quick to slam Terry in his new book.

"For me, the biggest idiot will always be John Terry," he wrote in his autobiography, titled #2sides.

"As England captain and my centre-back partner he could have saved everyone a lot of pain by admitting immediately he used the word in the heat of the moment, but was no racist.

"I think that's probably what happened and what the truth is. Anton and I would've accepted that."

Meanwhile, he compares Cole, who was a mainstay at Chelsea before moving to Roma this summer, to a Judas-like figure with this statement:

"Ashley Cole had long been a friend of mine. We've known each other since we were kids. But for me it ended the day he decided to go to court in support of John Terry."

The cruelest cut of all? Ferdinand had known Cole since they were youths but are no longer friends
