Team News:Jack Wilshere will be available after serving his suspension following a red card against United. Tomas Rosicky is out injured along with Abou Diaby, Lukasz Fabianski and Gervinho. Wojiech Szczesny, Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs are all doubtful. The return of Gibbs would definitely boost Lukas Podolski’s game as he has suffered since the Englishman suffered an injury.
Mousa Dembele, Benoit Assou Ekoto, Younes Keboul as well as the energetic and resourceful Scott Parker are all out with injury. Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Kyle Walker are doubtful for the North London club.
Both sides are by nature attacking sides. They like to take the game to their opponents. Arsenal hasn’t had much success with their passing game this season due to their lack of pace in some situations. The defence has conceded some poor goals as Thomas Vermaelen’s form has dipped following a good start to the season.
Spurs was a title challenger a few weeks ago but has fallen away tremendously since. Defeat after defeat, especially against the big boys, hasn’t helped at all. Arsenal hasn’t given their opponents much to fear though recently. Villas Boas’ side will have to look out for Olivier Giroud. The French striker is on good form.
Arsenal came away with yet another draw last week. Arsenal went into a 2-0 lead but just as they had against Schalke, let it slip. Fulham scored two goals and changed the score line to 2-3. Arsenal leveled to 3-3 shortly afterwards. They had a golden chance to win the match when the referee offered them a dubious penalty late in injury time. Unfortunately, Mikel Arteta’s strike wasn’t good enough to hit the back of the net.
Spurs last week took on one of the power houses of the Premier League in Manchester City. City won the match 2-1 and perhaps deservedly so. Spurs’ recent poor run of form will surely trouble Andre Villas Boas a bit. However, he knows that his next opponent is a vulnerable one.
These are the five previous results of the two sides:

Arsenal 3-3 Fulham
Schalke 2-2 Arsenal
Man United 2-1 Arsenal
Arsenal 5-7 Reading
QPR 0-1 Arsenal
Spurs:

Arsenal 5-2 Tottenham
Tottenham 2-1 Arsenal
Tottenham 3-3 Arsenal
Arsenal 2-3 Tottenham
Tottenham 1-4 Arsenal
Arsenal 2-1 Spurs
