AEK responded from a poor result the previous week against Kerkyra to easily defeat Panserraikos 3-1. That victory cannot take away from the fact that Manolo Jimenez’s team have struggled since a derby win over Olympiakos in November. A second straight away win over Asteras Tripolis on Sunday would be a huge result and go a long way in healing the club’s ailing confidence, especially away from home where AEK have won only two of nine matches this season.
From a team such as AEK who have had trouble winning their away matches to Asteras Tripolis who have only managed one home success all season. That is the main reason why a side that is well-enough equipped to remain comfortably in the Super League find themselves just three points above the relegation zone. Conversely, the Tripoli side have managed some good results in their travels, but ultimately it is their home form that will most likely determine their fate.
