Chelsea vs Blackburn Rovers Match Preview
Chelsea’s title bid has taken a huge blow after they have won only one of their last nine Premier League games. They will be hoping their 7-0 FA Cup win over Ipswich Town at the weekend signals an upturn in form ahead of the visit of Blackburn Rovers.
Blackburn were also successful in the FA Cup with a 1- win over Championship leaders Queens Park Rangers, and beat Liverpool 3-1 last time out in Premier League play.
John Obi Mikel will be out with a knee injury for Chelsea, while Alex and Yossi Benayoun remain long term absentees. Young striker Daniel Sturriddge will be hoping to keep his place after scoring twice in the FA Cup win over Ipswich.
Jason Roberts will return for Blackburn, but fellow striker Nikola Kalinic is suspended. Midfielder Brett Emerton is unavailable as he is representing Australia at the Asian Cup.
