The Brazilian ace is already making the trip back to his country, where a physician of his choosing will perform the surgery.

Despite PSG's coach still had hopes of having Neymar around for the game against Real Madrid, PSG has revealed that the Brazilian player will have to undergo surgery to heal from the injury picked up during Sunday's clash against Marseille.

In a brief press release issued a few moments ago, Les Parisiens revealed that the player will have  surgery performed on his right foot by the end of the week. PSG's and Brazil's medical staffs agreed to Neymar's decision and allowed him to travel back to the South American country to speed things up.

"In accordance with the player, it has been decided that Neymar Jr will undergo surgery in Brazil at the end of this week. He will be operated on by Dr. Rodrigo Lasmar, accompanied by Professor Saillant, representing PSG," the press release states.

Neymar's absence will represent a huge blow for PSG's chances of overturning the 3-1 score from the first leg against Los Blancos, as he's had a hand in 44 of the 133 goals scored by PSG this season. The player could be out for up to eight weeks, making it back just in time to prepare for the 2018 World Cup.
