The Belgian ace is being linked with a mega-money move to the Bernabeu in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The rumors linking Eden Hazard with Real Madrid have lit up in recent weeks. With Los Blancos struggling this season, the Belgian would be a welcomed addition at the Bernabeu.

And in a recent interview with Marca, the Chelsea star was asked about the possibility of joining the Spanish Primera Division giant. The 27-year-old refused to rule out the move but did admit to being happy at Stamford Bridge.

“In football, you never know. I'm happy at Chelsea, and focused on them,” he said when asked about the Real Madrid links.

Los Merengues’ interest in the former Lille ace comes as no surprise. He is a technically gifted player that would inject life into Zidane’s faltering squad. The Frenchman is even an outspoken admirer of Hazard, something that has further fueled the rumors.

“I remember 10 years ago when he spoke about me for the first time, it was incredible.

“He was my idol when I was a boy, I've seen thousands of videos about him and now he is the manager of one of the best clubs in the world, so yes, it's a luxury.

“But I don't want to stop, I want to keep working and trying on the pitch and then yes, I love it when people talk about me well.”

His current employer Chelsea is going through a rough patch themselves. Back-to-back defeats in the Premier League have put their top-four hopes at risk, but Eden believes there is hope despite the pressure Conte’s side is facing.

“What is happening is that we won last season and now people want us to win again. But you know that the Premier League is very difficult, we have already lost a few times this year and we have three months left. We still have the FA Cup and the Champions League and at the end of the day, our season could still be very good.”

It’s hard to see the Blues winning the Champions League. On their current form, beating Barcelona would be nearly impossible especially when they have a player Hazard claims “is not from this planet”: Lionel Messi.
