The draw for France 2019 is complete!

The six groups of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup were determined on Saturday, December 8, at the draw in Paris. Defending champions USA will feature in Group F alongside Thailand, Chile, and Sweden.

The upcoming edition of the tournament will see the USWNT meeting their opponents from Sweden for the fifth consecutive time. Host nation France will play in the curtain raiser against South Korea on July 7 at Parc des Princes in Paris while Nigeria and Norway will subsequently be involved in the other Group A fixture.

Ranked No. 2 in the world, the Germany women's national team will fancy its chances against 2015 quarterfinalists China, Euro 2017 quarterfinalists Spain and 2018 Women's AFCON runners-up South Africa in Group B of next summer's competition. Relatively, Canada be optimistic of its chances to progress to the knockout phase after being paired with the Netherlands, New Zealand and Cameroon in Group E.

England and Scotland will be involved on the world stage for the first time in history after being drawn together in Group D. The Lioness, who were denied qualification to the final of the last edition of the Women's World Cup by Japan, will have the opportunity to take revenge on their Asian counterparts. Argentina completes the quartet for Group D.

Finally, 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup runners-up Brazil was drawn in Group C alongside Australia, Italy, and debutants Jamaica. Although it is seemingly an easy group draw for the United States' women's team, the knockout phase could present a daunting task for the current world champions.

Should Jill Ellis and her ladies progress atop Group F, they will take on the second-place finisher from Group B in Reims in the Round of 16. The group features Germany, China, Spain, and South Africa. There is also a huge possibility of the USWNT taking on France in the quarter-final should it sail through the last 16 stage.
