He probably knows he had it coming.

Fines and bans are no new thing for Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. Well known for letting his emotions known during any games he feels his team has been treated unfairly, the tactician has been on the end of action from the FA and UEFA for improper conduct on more than one occasion.

During Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa, during which two Blues players saw red, Mourinho felt he should have a conversation with the referee and matched onto the pitch.

UEFA Statement on Mourinho

"Mourinho denied a breach of FA Rule E3 in that his behaviour in re-entering the field of play and approaching the Match Referee in an attempt to speak to him, in or around the 90th minute of the game against Aston Villa on 15 March 2014, amounted to improper conduct.

“However, the charge was found proven at a personal hearing on Wednesday 9 April."

Mourinho on referee Chris Foy

“What happened in the defeat against Villa I never learn, I never accept. Somebody was very successful in putting a hurdle in front of us.”

“And we crashed the hurdle against Aston Villa and we lost.”

“The only thing I didn't learn is to lose with that kind of referee performance, because it's not a mistake, it's a performance.”

UEFA, on their part, have yet to talk about Mourinho's antics during his side's sensational comeback vs PSG at Stamford Bridge. The Portuguese raced out of his technical area to go celebrate with his players after Demba Ba netted the second and ultimately winning goal of the tie, much to the joy of press men and women who are always waiting for the coach to deliver a new piece of news.
