TORONTO (May 3, 2010) – Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City square off at Eastlands Wednesday, May 5 at 3 p.m. ET/ 12 noon PT live on Setanta Sports in a match almost sure to determine the final 2010-11 UEFA Champions League spot available to clubs in the Barclays Premier League.

The live coverage Wednesday on Setanta kicks off at 1 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT with a key match from Ligue 1 of the French Football League as fourth place Olympique Lyonnais host AJ Auxerre.

Spurs are looking to erase the disappointment of missing the Champions League cut four seasons ago when they fell 2-1 to West Ham on the final day of the season. The loss allowed Arsenal to overtake Tottenham and denied the Spurs a trip to the European championship competition for the first time since 1962.

A win by Tottenham Wednesday locks up a Champions League spot for the club and eliminates any drama from the final day of the season on Sunday. A draw means that both City and Spurs will go down to the final day to decide which club grabs the final spot in next season’s Champions League.

Across the English Channel the French League race for one of the three Champions League spots is also heating up. A win by Lyon over Auxerre Wednesday will allow them to vault past LOSC Lille Métropole into third place. Auxerre has much to play for as well as a victory will move them closer to clinching a Champions League spot and keep them in contention to catch Qlympique de Marseille for the league title.

Marseille can lock up one of the three Ligue 1 Champions League spots with a win at home on Wednesday over Stade Rennais FC. The match can be seen on a same day delay on Setanta at 6:45 p.m. ET/ 3:45 p.m. PT.
