The Portuguese footballer was instrumental to Manchester United's 3-2 win over Norwich, who erased a two-goal lead by the Red Devils in the second half.

The last seven days have been quite controversial for Cristiano Ronaldo after Manchester City's loss to Everton, but the Portuguese ace found a way to shift the attention back to the pitch with a stellar performance against Norwich.

Cristiano Ronaldo bagged his first two goals of the day during the first half, giving the Red Devils a seemingly comfortable lead. Nevertheless, goals by Kieran Powell and Teemu Pukki brought back all the demons for Ralf Rangnick's team, but even after a few moments of uncertainty, it was once again Cristiano Ronaldo who would go on to secure three key points for Manchester United in the least expected way possible.

With less than fifteen minutes left in the game, Ronaldo made history by scoring his 60th career hat-trick -and 50th one when playing for his clubs- with an impressive long-distance free kick. While scoring his 60th hat-trick should be enough reason to make his fans proud, the fact that CR7 ended a 651-day wait to score a free kick was the standout fact of the evening for the Portuguese ace.

Cristiano managed to score his last free kick before today's effort while playing for Juventus, when he struck gold with a free kick against Torino on July 4, 2020. It was his only free kick goal with the bianconeri, and now, he has finally ended that hoodoo with this top-caliber strike against Norwich.
