Newcastle guaranteed a spot in the Premier League next year with their win over QPR last week. With nothing to play for, the Magpies could put a dent in Arsenal's Champions League hopes.

Newcastle was up against the ropes for a few weeks, knowing that relegation was a serious possibility if they did not get their act together. A win against QPR last week saved the Magpies from relegation, making Sunday's match less important for the hosts.

Although the Newcastle players will not have any significant pressure on them, their performance could potentially dictate if Arsenal finishes in the top four or not.

The Gunners have once again left things late, just as they have done many times in the past. Failure to claim the full three points at St. James Park could really cause all sorts of trouble for Arsene Wenger's side for the 2013/14 campaign. A potential Europa League spot could be waiting for the Gunners if they are unable to pull together and continue their great form as of late.

Arsenal will be trying to record their sixth victory at St. James Park since the French manager took over the London side. He will not only be looking to take advantage of an injury plagued Newcastle, but they also have not been in great form.

Pardew's side has managed only one victory from their last five matches, and along the way, they were embarrassed at home against Liverpool with a 0-6 defeat. Wanting to finish a poor campaign in good form and in front their fans will be a main priority for the hosts.

They will need to do all of that without the services of Moussa Sissoko, Shola Ameobi and Ryan Taylor, who are all out with a knee injury. Meanwhile, Davide Santone (hamstring), Steven Taylor (illness) and Massadio Haidara (hamstring) could return to the squad.

Mikel Arteta's calf injury will be a main concern for Wenger, but if the Spanish midfielder is unavailable, Jack Wilshere will likely be the chosen replacement.

Le Prof will also welcome back Olivier Giroud who was serving a three match ban after picking up a red card against Fulham.

This match could feature a number of goals considering Arsenal really needs to win, in order to guarantee a spot in the Champions League next season. Newcastle will be able to play without any pressure, allowing them to play a more comfortable style of play which could benefit them, or it could really allow Arsenal to take advantage of their approach.

Theo Walcott will need to continue his goal scoring streak at St. James Park on Sunday, as he has done in Arsenal's last three matches. The English international's performance would really give his teammates a lift, knowing how much is on the line come Sunday.
