According to Bild, the likes of Rashford and Maguire are unhappy with Ronaldo's attempts to lead the dressing room.

Rumors of a dressing room rift at Manchester United have been circulating for some time now. However, after Marcus Rashford's name was mentioned in a recent report, the Englishman took it upon himself to publicly clear the air.

It's no secret that cliques exit at Old Trafford. This was highlighted as an issue during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign up until his final days in charge. To make things worse, Bild made an even bigger claim, stating that the club's English core have an issue with one man in particular: Cristiano Ronaldo.

The iconic Portuguese attacker made a then triumphant return to the Theatre of Dreams over the summer after bringing an end to his spell with Juventus. While the fortunes of the club have nosedived, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner continues to bag goals nonetheless and is the team's top scorer this season.

However, his arrival is said to have brought issues. This is according to Bild's Head of Football Christian Falk who stated that the likes of Maguire and Rashford are not happy with Ronaldo's attempt to lead the dressing room with his own clique.

Falk reported this yesterday but it has now returned to the forefront after Rashford went to social media to address this report. The Three Lions attacker quote tweeted his statement and labelled it as rubbish while accusing the journalist of making things up.

"Are we just making it up as we go along now then?" Marcus wrote on Twitter.

"Please stop looking for divides."

Falk did hit back at the Man United ace with a follow-up, stating that he was simply denying the truth. Who is right and who is wrong in this situation? That remains unclear but what is certain is that Rangnick's side are yet to impress this season. Despite moving up to fourth with their midweek 2-0 victory over Brighton, the 20-time English champions were made to wait until the final minute of added time to put the 10-man Seagulls to the sword.
