The Selecao will be aiming to continue their impressive winning streak against equally impressive South American opponents.

Brazil will be eager to continue their impressive run of results when they take on South American rivals Colombia in what promises to be a highly-entertaining friendly match.

The 2014 World Cup hosts come into the game having won their last seven encounters, where they scored a whopping 26 goals and only conceded just one, with that goal coming in their 2-1 victory over arch-rivals Argentina in late September.

But after having recorded easy wins in their last two outings against rather weak opponents in Iraq and Japan, the Selecao will definitely be tested by an extremely dangerous Colombia side that includes a number of high-profile players including Atletico Madrid scoring-machine Radamel Falcao Garcia.

Colombia have been in sensational form in the South American World Cup qualifiers since the appointment of former Argentina national team coach Jose Pekerman, and are on track to reach their first World Cup finals since France 1998. The emergence of talented players like Falcao, Pablo Armero, James Rodriguez, Teofilo Gutierrez and new FC Porto recruit Jackson Martinez has brought new hope to the soccer-mad nation and a positive result in Wednesday's high-profile fixture with the five-time world champions could definitely officially mark the commencement of a new era.

For the clash, Pekerman has selected his strongest-possible squad, as the Cafeteros look to pull-off what would be an extraordinary upset at the MetLife stadium in New Jersey.

Mano Menezes, the coach of Brazil, is more than aware of Colombia's capabilities, and has also selected a very strong side, which includes Oscar, Kaka and star player Neymar.

Menezes has only one doubt for the match, as he has yet to decide whether Lucas Moura or Leandro Damiao will take the place of injured Zenit attacker Hulk. According to reports it is more likely that Lucas, who will officially join Paris Saint Germain in January, will occupy the vacancy.
