Watch El Tri perform in Costa Rica vs Mexico live on Telemundo – September 7

September 7, 2012 By Angela Asante
Costa Rica vs Mexico airs live from the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San Jose on Telemundo. Kick-off time for viewers in USA is 19:30 EST.
Eight players from the Mexican squad that clinched gold at the London 2012 Olympics have been called up by Jose Manuel de la Torre. The coach will demand a positive attitude from his side after the defeat to the United States last month.

Chicharito is set to play a major role for Mexico against Costa Rica. The Manchester United striker did not take part in El Tri’s Olympic triumph this summer due to fitness reasons. He will be aiming for a great return to competitive football with the national team.

Mexico’s third most capped international, Gerrardo Torrado of Cruz Azul, could add one more cap to the 135 he currently has. One year after defeating Costa Rica 4-1 in the Gold Cup, El Tri are poised to claim another victory.

Mexico top Group B in the Third Round of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with maximum points from two games. They lead Costa Rica by two points.
